About this file
This is a Request for Proposal (RFP) document issued by the State of Michigan for the procurement of industrial shredding equipment for a Records Center facility. The State seeks a dual shaft industrial shredding system capable of securely and efficiently processing a wide range of sensitive and durable materials, including lightweight items such as paper and small plastics as well as heavier materials including uniforms, Kevlar, and limited metal objects. The equipment must be designed to enable safe feeding without conveyors and be capable of installation within existing facility constraints while providing sufficient power to achieve complete material destruction. The primary objective is to ensure confidential destruction of materials so they can no longer be used or reconstructed.
Vendors submitting proposals must include technical specifications for the proposed shredder, system drawings, diagrams or brochures if available, electrical requirements, an installation quote, warranty documentation, a recommended maintenance schedule, and costs of any applicable tariffs. The installation quote must encompass all costs associated with delivery, setup, and on-site training. No specific response deadline, award date, contract term, pricing structure, or renewal options are identified in the specifications document provided.
