About this file

This document is a set of questions and answers related to RFP 240000001592 issued by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) and Michigan Department of Education (MDE) for providing safe and reliable transportation to open abuse/neglect foster care cases in K-12 and youth in foster care to remain in their school of origin in the counties of Wayne, Oakland, and Macomb. The RFP requires the contractor to provide an application for users to request and track transportation services. Key requirements include guaranteed next-day fulfillment of scheduled rides, live telematics and GPS tracking, real-time visibility and communication, and regular safety and performance reporting to the State. The State does not expect vendors to publish safety and performance metrics publicly. The RFP clarifies that the State will not allow offshore outsourcing, and customer support and dispatch staff must be located in the United States.
