About this file
This document is Addendum #1 for Request for Proposal (RFP) 24-107 issued by El Paso County, Colorado, for a Truck Scale Replacement project. The addendum, dated December 9, 2024, provides clarifications and responses to potential bidders' questions regarding the solicitation. El Paso County will only accept electronic bid proposals through the Rocky Mountain E-Purchasing system, with submissions due by the specified date and time. A pre-proposal meeting was held on December 3, 2024, and the county is seeking a contractor to replace an existing truck scale with deteriorating pit walls.
The addendum outlines key details for potential contractors, including the ability to adjust the scale's location approximately 5 feet towards an adjacent road, permission to use roll-off containers for material disposal, and requirements for the scale's subbase. The county is interested in proposals that include options for storing vehicle tare weights and tracking inbound and outbound weights. All electrical and associated project costs must be included in the contractor's proposal. Bidders are required to submit comprehensive proposals that address the scale's condition, relocation, technical capabilities, and complete project costs through the electronic purchasing system.
