About this file
This document is Addendum No. 1 to Request for Proposals (RFP) No. 2025-210-DF issued by the City of Miami Beach Procurement Department for a Speed Detection Camera System for School Zones. The addendum revises proposal submission instructions, clarifies non-responsiveness criteria, and provides responses to vendor questions regarding the rebid of the original RFP. The RFP is being rebid as a directive from the City Commission during its February 3, 2025 meeting, with the goal of implementing a school zone speed detection system in compliance with Section 316.008(9), Florida Statutes, which allows municipalities to use speed detection systems to enforce school zone speed limits.
The addendum indicates that the selected vendor will be responsible for providing and installing all equipment and monitoring the camera system for violations at no cost to the City, with revenue sharing of collections. Interested bidders must submit proposals electronically, with specific requirements for bid submittal questions and a revenue proposal. The City reserves the right to seek additional information from bidders and can deem proposals non-responsive for incomplete submissions. Attachment B contains proposals from the previous RFP (2024-274-DF), and Attachment A references the City Commission memorandum directing the rebid. Proposers are required to acknowledge receipt of this addendum as part of their RFP submission, with questions to be directed to Danny Flores in the Procurement Department.
