About this file
This is Amendment One to RFP 2025-1200-0180 for Training Academy Food Services issued by the Alaska Department of Public Safety, Division of Administrative Services on December 9, 2024. The amendment modifies requirements for a food services contract at the training academy. Offerors must sign and return the amendment with their proposals, which are due by December 13, 2024.
The amendment makes three key changes: 1) Removes the state's responsibility for providing small wares unless loss is due to contractor negligence, 2) Revises the contract price adjustment terms to allow requests no sooner than 12 months after contract execution and only once per contract year with 30 days written notice, and 3) Modifies the proposal requirements so that offerors must include a 30-day sample menu with proposals but can provide nutrition and calorie information within 30 days of notice of intent to award rather than with the initial proposal. Price adjustments require procurement officer approval via contract amendment and are contingent upon full contract compliance including reporting requirements.

Change 2: Remove Sec 3.07 Contract Price Adjustments and replace with:
The Contractor or State may request price adjustments, no sooner than 12 months from the Contract execution date, and no more than once per contract year. Contractors must submit a request to the State at least 30 days prior to the end of the current term. All Requests must be in writing and must be received 30 days prior to the Contract renewal date. No retroactive contract price adjustments will be allowed. All price adjustments must be approved by the Procurement Officer prior to the implementation of the adjusted pricing.
