About this file
This document is an addendum to Request for Proposal (RFP) 2017-04 for outsourcing the student housing network (ResNet) at Salem State University, a public university in Massachusetts. The addendum addresses additional questions submitted by vendors after a site visit and provides details on the existing network infrastructure. Specifically, the university has 172 access points (APs) that are currently controller-based using Aruba 7240 controllers (2 in total). However, the existing Aruba infrastructure should not be considered part of the scope for the outsourced solution. The university also has Airwave network management software but does not utilize ClearPass or other Aruba add-ons.
The RFP seeks an outsourced solution to equip and manage the existing student housing network. Pricing details, set-asides, incumbent providers, and funding information are not provided in this addendum. The contract term and any renewal options are also not specified.
