About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document related to RFP 20-PD25 for Towing Services issued by the City of Sun Prairie Police Department in Wisconsin. The document addresses key clarifications regarding service scope and vendor requirements for the towing services solicitation. Prospective vendors must understand that the City requires a comprehensive pricing structure covering all potential charges to both the City and vehicle owners, including differentiation between service types such as light duty, medium duty, heavy towing, and accident recovery. Additionally, proposers are required to maintain a storage lot within the city limits at the time of proposal submission, as specified in Section II of the RFP requirements.
The Q and A document emphasizes that vendors must provide detailed definitions of all applicable charges and specify the circumstances under which each charge applies to ensure transparency in billing practices. The storage lot requirement is a mandatory qualification criterion that must be demonstrated during the proposal evaluation process, indicating the City's preference for vendors with established local infrastructure capable of supporting the towing operation within municipal boundaries.
