About this file

This document is an RFP (Request for Proposals) issued by the Illinois Tollway for I-PASS Distribution and Backend Support Services. The RFP seeks proposals from responsible vendors to provide services to support the I-PASS program, which includes retail distribution of I-PASS transponders and back-end support. The RFP provides historical data on I-PASS transponder distribution and replacements, including projected transponder replacement volumes through 2028. Exhibit D includes sample transponder distribution and replacement reporting formats. The contract term and any renewal options are not specified.

The RFP does not provide details on pricing terms, set-asides, incumbents, funding requirements or sources. However, it does indicate that transponders for customers outside of Illinois or with large transponder volumes are not managed through this contract.

Please note that the chart and breakdown of replacements by year reflects the entire Proactive Replacement Program, not just those transponders that are replaced through the retail outlet. This is included to show the Vendor the trends of actual transponders replaced and projected transponder replacements. Replacements for customers who live out of state or accounts that have a large volume of transponders on their account are not managed through this contract.
