About this file

Written by GovTribe AI ·

This document is an addendum to a Request for Proposals (RFP) issued by Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools (CMS) for a CMS Chromebook Lease with Purchase Option. The RFP seeks proposals from qualified vendors to provide a comprehensive solution for the procurement and maintenance of staff and student mobile devices. The addendum provides clarification on various questions submitted by vendors, including acceptable warranty options, device specifications, delivery timelines, and compatibility requirements. Specifically, the addendum notes that the bid due date has been changed from September 26, 2024, to October 1, 2024, with the bid opening time remaining unchanged at 3:00 PM EST. The RFP requires a manufacturer's warranty, with the option of an enhanced warranty at equal or reasonable costs.

Regarding pricing, the addendum indicates that CMS cannot pay sales tax upfront, but a tax-exempt lease purchase (TELP) option may be considered. The RFP also outlines expectations for the warranty process, including a 72-hour depot turnaround and a 24-hour window to initiate the warranty service. The addendum further clarifies that all devices must be picked up weekly from each site for repair, and that on-site repairs are acceptable in addition to the courier service.
