About this file

This is a scope of work attachment for a pump repair and modification project issued by Austin Energy for the Sand Hill Energy Center in Texas. Austin Energy requires a qualified pump repair service vendor to disassemble, inspect, repair, and modify an ITT Gould's 42XX52GHX0-1 Circulating Water Pump (Unit 5, Pump #3) that was shut down due to high vibrations during operation. The pump, Serial No. 312910-1, has been in continuous service since October 2005 and was previously repaired in 2005 when the original impeller was replaced with a stainless steel impeller due to damage. The pump specifications are Model VIT-FF, operating at 590 RPM with a capacity of 59,000 GPM and a head of 83 feet. The selected contractor must develop a comprehensive repair work scope based on best practice and industry standards for this pump type and service application, and shall recommend and implement modifications to improve the pump's reliability.

The contractor shall complete a detailed inspection and repair assessment, developing the work scope according to established industry standards and best practices for circulating water pumps of this classification. The scope of work attachment does not specify pricing terms, contract duration, award dates, or bid submission deadlines within the provided document. This project is part of Austin Energy's broader utility pump maintenance and replacement initiative across multiple facilities including the Sand Hill Energy Center, Decker Creek Power Station, and on-site energy resources in Texas.
