About this file
This is a Vendor Solicitation Questions and Responses document from the Florida Department of Revenue (DOR) regarding electronic media destruction and data sanitization services. The RFI seeks vendors to provide overwriting of electronic media, degaussing, and on-site shredding of hard drives and solid state drives. Services are needed across 50 service locations in Florida, including facilities under the Child Support Program (CSP), General Tax Administration (GTA), and Information Services Program (ISP). The current contract expires on March 31, 2026, with the Department planning to release a formal solicitation before the end of the calendar year. Vendors are not required to provide all three service offerings to participate in a future solicitation. The volume and frequency of services vary by office location and size, with specific details to be provided during the formal procurement process if the Department proceeds.
The Department has not established an estimated contract value for this project and declined to provide current volume projections, stating such information is not readily available or pertinent to the RFI phase. A current vendor is providing shredding services with contract documents available for reference. The Department welcomes tiered pricing structures from vendors who can offer variable service levels based on the number of drives to be processed, as volumes differ significantly across office locations. Vendors offering limited services, such as only overwriting and not degaussing or on-site shredding, remain eligible to submit bids in any future solicitation.
