About this file
This document contains Questions and Answers related to a Request for Information (RFI) issued by the Department of Corrections (DOC) for a Movement Tracking and Identification Research Project. The RFI does not specify an estimated cost for the project, and the DOC is currently just looking to see what solutions are available through this RFI process. The DOC has not yet allocated funding for this project, and they are not currently using any incumbent vendor or solution. The DOC is running most of its systems on Windows OS and would prefer a Windows-based solution, but they are open to reviewing any proposed solution. The DOC has over 45,000 inmates and the project will need to integrate with their current custom Case Management system development efforts. The DOC has not received any external assistance in preparing this RFI, and they are unsure if any professional or consulting services may be needed to accomplish this effort.
The RFI does not provide any details on pricing terms, set asides, or funding sources. The DOC has not decided on a timeline for potentially issuing an RFP should they decide to proceed past the RFI process, as that will depend on the feedback received from this RFI. All questions regarding this RFI should be directed to Anthony Pinko.
