About this file
This is a Request for Information (RFI) issued by the U.S. Air Force seeking industry capability to provide advanced procedural skills training for Independent Duty Medical Technicians (IDMTs). The requirement is for a one-day, high-fidelity, hands-on procedural skills laboratory designed to address a training gap created by the removal of Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) from the IDMT curriculum. The Government estimates an annual workload of nine course iterations per year with a class size of 16 students. The primary objective is to ensure every IDMT graduate possesses foundational, hands-on competence and confidence to perform life-saving interventions in operational environments immediately prior to entering real-world clinical rotations.
Responses must be submitted electronically to Charles House (charles.house.3@us.af.mil) or Hannah Harris (hannah.harris.8@us.af.mil) at 502 CONS/PKDA by the Response Due Date. The RFI requests three components: Part A—administrative information and questionnaire answers regarding company capability and intent to propose; Part B—a narrative statement of capability (maximum 10 pages) addressing relevant experience with medical procedural training, particularly military organizations, instructional philosophy, facility/mobile capabilities, simulation technology, feedback on the Statement of Need, and alternative solutions; and Part C—completion of an RFI Pricing Schedule template for market pricing assessment and budget planning. This RFI is for information and planning purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation or commitment to award a contract. Interested parties are not required to respond, and non-response does not preclude participation in any future formal solicitation.
