About this file

This document is a Request for Information (RFI) issued by the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) Environmental Management Branch (EMB) for instrument calibration services related to the Nuclear Emergency Response Program (NERP). The EMB is seeking information on vendor capabilities and expertise to aid in the redevelopment of an Invitation for Bid (IFB) that previously received no bids. The RFI requests responses on the vendors' ability to calibrate and performance test a variety of radiation detection devices, their accreditations and certifications, and their process for providing calibration reports and shipping. The RFI also includes a sample scope of work and requests rough cost estimates for the calibration services and shipping. The RFI responses are due by August 26, 2024 at 5 PM PT, and this RFI is for market research purposes only and not a solicitation.

The related state and local contract opportunity is for an Environmental Management Branch (EMB) Nuclear Emergency Response Program (NERP) Instrument Calibration project in the state of California. The CDPH is soliciting bids from qualified vendors to provide tools for the detection of radiation. The contract details, including quantities, award dates, and contract term, have not been provided in the information given.
