About this file

This is a Request for Information (RFI) issued by the Iowa Department of Transportation's Resources & Acquisitions Bureau, Purchasing Section, seeking vendor information regarding the installation of customer interface equipment on an existing Carrier furnace at the Dubuque Maintenance Garage. The RFI (645-RFI-1884-2025) is designed to gather market intelligence about products and services that would enhance troubleshooting and self-diagnostic capabilities for the facility's existing XT Router installation. The RFI was issued on June 16, 2025, at 1:00 PM Central Time, with vendor questions due by June 22, 2025, at 10:00 PM Central Time. Iowa DOT responses to vendor questions will be provided by June 25, 2025, at 4:30 PM Central Time, and final RFI responses must be submitted electronically by June 25, 2025, at 10:00 PM Central Time. This is explicitly not a Request for Proposal but rather an information-gathering exercise with no obligation to the Iowa DOT.

All RFI responses must be submitted electronically with a signed transmittal letter on vendor letterhead including complete company and contact information. Responses are provided at no cost to the Iowa DOT and become the property of the state under Iowa Code Chapter 22. While vendors may be requested to provide general pricing information for budgetary purposes, no formal quotations or cost proposals are required. No specific budget range, set-aside designations, incumbent contractors, or contract award dates are specified in the RFI documentation. The primary point of contact is Kyle Williams at the Iowa Department of Transportation, 800 Lincoln Way, Ames, Iowa 50010, telephone 515-233-7960, or Kyle.Williams@iowadot.us.
