About this file

This document is Addendum No. 2 for the Iowa PBS Parking Lot Resurfacing project, issued by the State of Iowa Department of Administrative Services (DAS) on 4/5/2023. The project involves removing and replacing the ADA Maytag Entrance, conducting full-depth asphalt repairs, overlaying the entire parking lot with 2" hot mix asphalt, restriping parking spots, reinstalling signage, and re-pouring intakes. The project includes two alternates: sidewalk replacement at the Auditorium entrance and removal of a parking island. Bids are due on April 11, 2023, at 2:00 PM, with a tentative Notice of Intent (NOI) to be issued on April 12, 2023. The construction schedule spans from June to November 2023, with the parking lot planned to be shut down for no more than two weeks.

The pre-bid meeting was held on March 29, 2023, with attendees from Iowa PBS, McGough Construction, Bishop Engineering, and the Department of Administrative Services. Key site rules include onsite supervision, daily logs, work hours from 5 AM to 8 PM Monday through Thursday, and no noise-producing work on Fridays. Contractors must submit a project-specific Certificate of Insurance, Performance and Payment bonds, and use Procore for project management. The bid requires a 5% bid security, and the apparent low bidder must submit a subcontractor/supplier list within 48 hours after the bid opening. The project will use ConsensusDocs 802, and Procore will be used for project management at no cost to the trade contractor.
