About this file

This document is a Question Responses file for RFB JJC-22-111, a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) procurement by the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh's Engineering Department issued on May 16, 2022. The University seeks to replace its current manual laboratory workflow processes with a LIMS software solution. The system must support approximately 600 samples per month from approximately 50 clients, accommodate 12 total named users with at least 4 concurrent login capabilities, and perform bacteriological testing and inorganic testing including metals, nutrients, TSS, TS/VS, and pH analysis. The University has expressed a preference for cloud-based solutions and requires integration with QuickBooks billing software. A client web portal for test request submission and report downloads is optional but preferred. The system must support user-defined forms for sorting and filtering samples or data, sample check-in templates for repeat orders, and define projects as sets of samples arriving on a certain day from the same client.

No subcontracting or minority-owned business requirements are mandated for this procurement. The University currently operates with manual processes and has no equipment or instrumentation requiring integration at this time, with the exception of QuickBooks. Vendors are required to comply with University of Wisconsin System information security, data classification, and protection policies, as well as authentication requirements specified in the provided policy links. Prospective vendors offering multiple LIMS integration options must provide specification information and pricing for evaluation regarding viability with QuickBooks integration. No specific pricing terms, award dates, contract duration, or renewal options are detailed in this question response document.
