NAVSUP WSS Reverse Engineering – Industry Day

Abstract:
The purpose of this Industry Day notice is to determine the availability and capability of qualified businesses to provide reverse engineering services necessary to resolve obsolescence for a number Navy parts. The Navy is seeking qualified vendors to support these reverse engineering efforts by developing competitive technical data packages (TDP’s) for use in repair and spare sourcing efforts. In addition to the development of U.S. Navy owned TDP’s, the agency is seeking qualified repair sources to support future requirements.
Small Business, Small Business Administration Certified 8(a) companies; firms in Historically Underutilized Business Zones (HUBZone); Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned small businesses; and Women-Owned small businesses are encouraged to join. (This is a new requirement.)
Who should attend?
Vendors who are currently able to demonstrate existing or potential technical capability to perform the requirements as per the draft Performance Work Statement. All vendors must be registered to attend, and limited to three people per firm. Representatives should be technically savvy and have a firm understanding of the direction of both Industry and Navy policy.
All firms are welcome and encouraged to submit questions concerning the requirement prior to the event. All questions shall be submitted to the point of contact no later than 15 October 2021.
The government team will be available to discuss the requirement and any questions provided.
We will provide you with the virtual event information and further instructions by 15 October 2021.
Industry Day Goals:
· To ensure synergy between Navy and Industry representatives
· Incorporate Industry comments into the requirements development process
· Gain a better understanding of recent Industry developments
· Provide updates to Industry on future Reverse Engineering requirements
Deadline for Registration/Questions:
· Must register with the Point of Contact listed below by 15 October 2021, 5:00PM EST.
· All questions must be submitted by 15 October 2021.
