About this file
This is a Response Template for a Request for Interest (RFI) issued by the City of Long Beach, California for therapeutic music and horticulture after school violence prevention programming. The RFI seeks proposals from qualified organizations to develop and implement a pilot program that combines horticulture and music as violence prevention strategies for school-age youth. Responses must be submitted electronically through the City's Long Beach Buys portal by 11:00 AM Pacific Time on August 21, 2024, with the release date of August 14, 2024. The City will review all submissions between August 26-30, 2024 to determine next steps. If multiple qualified vendors express interest and meet the City's criteria, the City may issue a formal Request for Proposals to competitively award a contract. Respondents must provide contact information and address five specific questions: their approach to violence prevention programming incorporating horticulture and music, their value proposition and competitive differentiation, the number and ages of students the pilot would serve, required City resources (staff, facilities, equipment, software, data, etc.), and success metrics for the pilot program.
No pricing information, set-asides, funding amounts, or contract term details are specified in this Response Template document. The template requires respondents to limit their approach description to 250 words or less and certify authorization to submit the RFI on behalf of their organization. Late responses or submissions through channels other than the Long Beach Buys portal will not be accepted. Technical support for submission issues is available through the City's purchasing department at (562) 570-6200 or LBPurchasing@longbeach.gov.
