MOBILE SURVEILLANCE CAMERA
OBJECTIVE
The City of College Park Police Department is looking for quotes for Mobile Parking Lot Surveillance Cameras. Having this camera in place will help deter criminal activity and provide a real-time overview of secure areas. Crime Investigation: They offer valuable evidence that can help investigate and prosecute crimes. They will also provide public safety and crowd management.
Key Components:
• Video Resolution:
Higher resolution (1080p or 4K) provides clearer images, which is important for identifying details like faces or license plates.
• Night Vision:
Essential for monitoring in low-light conditions. Look for infrared (IR) LEDs for illumination.
• Field of View:
A wide-angle lens (e.g., 130 degrees) provides a broader view, while zoom capabilities allow for closer inspection of specific areas.
• Motion and Sound Detection:
These features trigger alerts when movement or noise is detected, enhancing security monitoring.
• Connectivity:
Cellular (4G/LTE) or Wi-Fi connectivity enables remote access to live video feeds and recorded footage.
• Weather Resistance:
IP65 or higher rating ensures the camera can withstand various weather conditions.
• Power Source:
Battery-powered cameras offer flexibility in placement, while solar-powered options are suitable for remote locations.
• Storage:
On-board storage (e.g., microSD card) allows for local recording, while cloud storage offers remote access and data backup.
• Durability:
Rugged construction and protective features are important for outdoor and mobile use.
