About this file
This is a Request for Information (RFI) numbered FA8528-25-Q-B002 for U-2 Airframe Support and Sustainment, issued by the U.S. Air Force for market research purposes only. The government seeks to identify potential sources capable of providing cloud-based AI-powered forecasting services for the U-2 aircraft program's spare parts, repairable items, and bonded stock inventory management. The U-2 Airframe team manages approximately 9,500 higher assembly parts specific to the airframe and 27,000 total parts including subcomponents.
The required solution must be a cloud-based service that connects to government supply systems for near real-time information, featuring a chatbot function, visual dashboard metrics, and an AI language model for predictive analytics. Key capabilities include determining CLIFF dates for zero stock scenarios, creating ordering recommendations, evaluating historical trends for lead times and costs, developing repair cycle time trend lines, and differentiating between critical spares, time-change items, and other parts. Responses to the contractor capability survey are due by August 22, 2025, at 5:00 PM EST, submitted electronically to specified contracting personnel. The RFI encourages participation from both large and small businesses, joint ventures, and teaming arrangements, with particular interest in identifying work suitable for small business set-asides. Lockheed Martin is identified as the prime contractor for the U-2 program.
