Request for Information Summary
This is a Request for Information (RFI) issued by U.S. Army Contracting Command-Redstone in support of the U.S. Army Test, Measurement, and Diagnostic Equipment Activity (USATA) for market research purposes only. The RFI is not a commitment to contract and does not constitute a Request for Proposal. The contracting office seeks information on potential sources capable of providing one Model 1056A-200 Ratemeter Digital Geiger-Mueller (GM) detector system and one Model 897A-210 GM Detector System for customer support at the Army Primary Standards Laboratory, Building 5435 Fowler Road, Redstone Arsenal, Alabama. The procurement falls under NAICS Code 334515 (Instrument Manufacturing For Measuring And Testing Electricity And Electrical Signals) and Classification Code 6625.
The Model 1056A-200 must deliver a 5-decade range between 10² and 10⁵ mR/h with 15% energy response from 80 keV to 1.5 MeV, integral analog preamplifier, remote ratemeter capability up to 2000 feet, single cable connection, 8 µCi ³⁶Cl check source, and life expectancy up to 10⁵ rads with LCD graphical display and IP65 wallmount rating. The Model 897A-210 must be compatible with the 955A GM Area Monitor, provide three 5-decade ranges from 10⁻² to 10⁵ R/h, include integral preamp, seismic qualification, approximately 10⁵ rads life expectancy, remote ratemeter capability up to 1700 feet, single cable connection, and 8 µCi ³⁶Cl check source. Interested parties must respond by 16 July 2026 via SAM.GOV with company name, business size, socio-economic status, points of contact, CAGE Code, and Unique Entity Identifier. Set-aside status is to be determined. Contact Portia R. Sampson, Contracting Officer, at portia.r.sampson.civ@army.mil or 256-955-9135.
