About this file
This is a Relevant Experience Form for the City of Pasadena's Managed Detection and Response (MDR) Services procurement (Project ID: 2025-RFP-0516). The form requires proposers to document at least five distinct customer engagements demonstrating comparable experience delivering MDR services, with minimum requirements that at least two engagements involve public sector or municipal clients and at least two involve hybrid or cloud-native Microsoft 365 environments with co-managed, tenant-resident MDR operations. The City is particularly interested in engagements utilizing Microsoft Defender, Sentinel, and Intune with endpoint populations of similar scale to their requirements (approximately 2,500 users and 2,500–5,000 devices), along with demonstrated operational maturity including playbook development, tuning, and knowledge transfer. The proposal is due by 2:00 pm on December 5, 2025, and the selected vendor will establish a 24x7x365 tenant-resident MDR service with an initial three-year contract term and potential for two optional one-year extensions, initially targeting endpoint protection and Microsoft-native telemetry for approximately 2,500 Microsoft 365 licensed users.
The form consists of five template pages for documenting client engagements, each requesting comprehensive information including client name, project title, client type/sector, years of service, client location, number of users and endpoints supported, primary client contact information, MDR model used, key Microsoft technologies employed, and detailed descriptions of scope of work and outcomes achieved. Proposers must demonstrate long-term relationships with measurable outcomes in detection, response, and risk reduction. The procurement is partially funded by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security through the State and Local Cybersecurity Grant Program, and vendors must comply with federal and local requirements including Cyber Liability insurance of $5,000,000 per occurrence. Additional Microsoft licensing requirements identified by vendors will be procured separately through the City's existing Microsoft Enterprise Agreement and are not included within this solicitation.

Relevant Experience Form
Instructions:
Each proposer must provide a summary of at least five (5) distinct customer engagements that demonstrate experience delivering Managed Detection and Response (MDR) services comparable in size, scope, and structure to the City of Pasadena’s requirements.
Of these five engagements:
• At least two (2) must be with public sector or municipal clients
• At least two (2) must involve hybrid or cloud-native Microsoft 365 environments with co-managed, tenant-resident MDR operations
Note: A single engagement may be used to satisfy both the public sector and tenant-resident criteria if applicable. However, the overlap does not reduce the total number of required engagements - proposes must still submit five distinct client examples in total.
The City is particularly interested in engagements that reflect:
• MDR operations using Microsoft Defender, Sentinel, and Intune
• Endpoint populations of similar scale (e.g., 2,500 users and 2,500– 5,000 devices)
• Demonstrated ability to support operational maturity, including playbook development, tuning, and knowledge transfer
• Long-term relationships with measurable outcomes in detection, response, and risk reduction
