About this file

The document is a City of Tucson Request for Proposal (RFP No. 222988) issued by the Business Services Department's Shared Services Procurement Division for Regularly Provided Services. The RFP details comprehensive maintenance and monitoring requirements for multiple environmental systems across various City of Tucson landfill and groundwater sites, including the Los Reales Groundwater Remediation System, Landfill Gas Extraction Systems at Harrison, Vincent Mullins, Speedway, Los Reales, Prudence Landfill, and the Silverbell Landfill Groundwater Extraction and Treatment System. The services require experienced technicians to perform routine operations, maintenance tasks, system inspections, data collection, reporting, and minor repairs on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis across these environmental infrastructure sites.

The proposal specifies detailed time estimates for each site, ranging from approximately 2 to 15 hours per week with minimum visit frequencies of 2-3 times per week. Technicians are expected to provide their own specialized equipment, such as a CES Landtec GEM 2000 or 5000 series instrument for landfill gas monitoring, with requirements for annual manufacturer calibration. The tasks include monitoring system parameters, checking equipment functionality, recording readings, performing maintenance, collecting samples, reporting to the Environmental Services (ES) department, and conducting surface emissions monitoring. The document does not explicitly outline pricing terms or funding sources, focusing instead on the comprehensive technical specifications and operational requirements for maintaining these critical environmental management systems.
