About this file

This is a Request for Quotation specifications document for Registered Dietician Consultant Services issued by the West Virginia Purchasing Division on behalf of the West Virginia Veterans Home (WVVH), located at 512 Water Street, Barboursville, WV 25504. The solicitation seeks to establish an open-end contract with a qualified Registered Dietician Consultant to provide on-site nutritional services and support to facility residents. The contract requires the selected consultant to maintain a minimum presence of one visit per week at the facility and perform comprehensive duties including nutritional assessments for new admissions, individual dietary education and counseling, bi-annual dietary surveys, quarterly in-service training for nursing and dietary staff, meal planning collaboration, and active participation in resident care planning meetings. The estimated annual usage is 100 hours, though this figure represents an approximation only and actual usage is not guaranteed.

The contract will be awarded to the vendor offering the lowest overall total cost based on an all-inclusive hourly rate multiplied by the estimated annual usage hours. Vendor compensation will be paid on a monthly basis upon submission of invoices by the 15th of each month, and payment will follow the State of West Virginia's standard payment procedures. Qualified vendors must possess a bachelor's degree in Dietetics and maintain a valid West Virginia Registered Dietician License. This procurement may be funded in whole or in part by federal funds, and vendors must comply with all applicable federal procurement provisions. The contract is designated as an open-end agreement, meaning performance will occur pursuant to release orders issued by the agency, with the agency retaining the right to cancel the contract or individual orders upon vendor default.
