Garrison Bay Native Prairie Restoration Project

Garrison Project, Lake Sakakawea

U.S. Army Corps of Engineers

BID SHEET SUMMARY:

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at the Garrison Project on Lake Sakakawea in North Dakota are requesting that all potential contractors submit a complete bid quote upon review of this bid sheet.

The seed mix as seen below will be the mix that will be required to be planted. The contractor will be responsible for purchasing the mix from the seed house of their choice.

Note: The below is a summary map of the project area. The restoration area will not be including the sides of the hills where it has been deemed unsafe to operate equipment. The restoration area highlighted in green is the area to be restored and is 65 acres in size. Access from the north and the south is possible.

Area proposed: Garrison Bay Wildlife Area

Acres Proposed: 65 acres

Existing Grassland Comp: Smooth brome, Kentucky bluegrass, few invasive weeds

Access Points for Contractor: The contractor will have drive-in access directly to the job site through a gate

Below is the seed mix that will be the mix planted at the restoration site. The contractor will be responsible for purchasing the seed mix as described. The government will not provide the contractor any physical seed. From local seed distributors in the area, the seed mix below as described is around $70.00 per acre for reference.

The forb species in the mix can be altered if the seed house does not have one of the selected species at a given time. Work with the COR if you have any concerns about the species within the mix.
