About this file
This is an Invitation to Bid issued by Ross Correctional Institution in Chillicothe, Ohio, a state correctional facility seeking vendor bids for garage and safety doors. The institution is requesting bids for two separate locations: the Quartermaster department and the Yard Crew area. Each location requires one rolling door (non-insulated, galvanized and painted gray with 2-inch slat, equipped with an HP motor with brake, standard photo eyes, hand chain operation, and steel jamb mounting) and one rolling grille (aluminum with mill finish, 9-inch straight hollow galvanized rods, HP motor standard, photo eyes, hand chain operation, and steel jamb mounting). The specifications differ slightly between the two locations regarding operational direction (right-handed versus left-handed). Interested bidders must contact bryan.parker@drc.ohio.gov by August 31, 2026, providing their name, company name, and items needed for an accurate quote. A mandatory site visit for measuring and scope of work assessment is scheduled for September 2, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. Removal of old doors and installation of new doors will be completed by the institution.
Bidders must submit all-inclusive bids with all fees itemized on a cost summary, which must include shipping and handling costs as well as product operation support and training. Descriptive literature of the products being offered may be required as part of the evaluation process to determine the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. Failure to submit descriptive literature either with the initial bid or within seven calendar days of request will render the bidder non-responsive. Bids will be evaluated according to Article 1-15 of the Instructions to Bidders under the State of Ohio's OhioBuys procurement platform.
