About this file
This is a Request for Information (RFI) issued by the United States Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM) for a Rail Car Intransit Visibility (ITV) contract. The RFI seeks to conduct a virtual Industry Day on 17-18 June 2025, with one-on-one sessions for vendors to discuss non-proprietary, Commercial-off-the-Shelf (COTS) devices for tracking the DoD rail fleet managed by Military Surface Deployment and Distribution Command (SDDC). Interested vendors must register by 4:00 PM Central Time on 12 June 2025, providing company name, CAGE code, point of contact information, preferred date, and a statement confirming ability to provide services outlined in the Performance Work Statement.
The RFI includes draft documents such as the Request for Quote (RFQ), Performance Work Statement, Pricing attachment, and Clauses and Provisions. The virtual sessions will allow vendors to provide feedback on the draft requirements, exchange questions about capabilities, and address concerns. Vendors should be prepared to discuss technical capabilities for tracking and providing data on the DoD rail fleet in the United States. Registration is to be submitted via email to Megan Manning and Amy Burk, with the understanding that this is a market research initiative and not a formal solicitation or government commitment.
