About this file

This is a draft pricing attachment for a Rail In-Transit Visibility (ITV) contract opportunity with the United States Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM). The pricing document outlines a comprehensive pricing structure for Remote Monitoring Devices (RMDs) with a contract duration of one base year and four option years, plus a potential six-month extension. The pricing covers one-time and recurring services including RMD hardware ($0 unit price currently), initial and recurring data services, installation, installation travel costs (with a $50,000 base year and $10,000 option year Not-to-Exceed budget), and system integration and setup.

The pricing table estimates quantities of 1,500 RMDs in the base year, expanding to 1,700 RMDs in subsequent option years, with services focused on capturing and transmitting near real-time in-transit visibility across the Contiguous United States (CONUS) for Department of Defense owned rail cars. The Total Evaluated Price (TEP) for the full contract period is structured with a base year price of $60,000, Option Year 1 at $50,000, and subsequent years at $10,000, with flexibility for prorated monthly data services and actual travel expense billing. The document is part of an ongoing market research effort for a Rail Car Intransit Visibility contract, currently in a pre-solicitation phase.
