About this file

This document contains questions and answers related to a state and local contract opportunity for Specialty Lab Services in the state of Delaware and New Castle County. The contract opportunity involves providing PFAS analytical services for aqueous, soil, and fish tissue samples, with DNREC (the Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control) performing screening analysis as part of their SOPCAP and QA plan. The contract also allows for the use of subcontractor labs, which must be approved by DNREC prior to any work being subcontracted out. No specific preference for a subcontractor lab (such as 1699) is indicated.

The pricing terms, set asides, incumbents, funding requirements and sources, and other salient information are not provided in the document. The contract opportunity appears to be focused on the technical requirements and processes for the laboratory services, rather than the commercial aspects.

Questions and Answers

1. For PFAS, you don’t have the analytical methods broken down by matrices

(aqueous, soil and fish tissues). In our response, can we include a caveat to include the different matrices?

Yes

2. For methods that we do not perform in-house. Do you have a preference for a subcontractor lab? (ex: 1699) All subcontractors must be approved by DNREC prior to any work being subcontracted out.

3. Is DNREC still screening samples?

Yes, DNREC is still performing screening analysis, as part of our SOPCAP and QA plan for the state.
