About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document for specialty lab services contract NAT24002_SPEC_LAB from the Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control (DNREC). The document addresses three key questions related to laboratory testing services, specifically concerning PFAS testing methodologies, subcontractor requirements, and sample screening procedures.
The Q&A clarifies that bidders can include caveats for different matrices (aqueous, soil, and fish tissues) in their PFAS analytical methods response. It also specifies that all subcontractors must receive prior approval from DNREC before any work can be subcontracted, and confirms that DNREC continues to perform screening analysis as part of their SOPCAP and QA plan for the state.

NAT24002-SPEC_LAB Q&A
NAT24002_SPEC_LAB
Questions and Answers
1. For PFAS, you don’t have the analytical methods broken down by matrices
(aqueous, soil and fish tissues). In our response, can we include a caveat to include the different matrices?
Yes
2. For methods that we do not perform in-house. Do you have a preference for a subcontractor lab? (ex: 1699) All subcontractors must be approved by DNREC prior to any work being subcontracted out.
3. Is DNREC still screening samples?
Yes, DNREC is still performing screening analysis, as part of our SOPCAP and QA plan for the state.
