About this file
This document is a set of questions and answers related to the Illinois Secretary of State's invitation for bids (IFB) for Lexmark printers and accessories, solicitation number 22-350SOS-SOS35-B-26028. The IFB seeks to purchase 400 Lexmark MS431DN printers, 10 Lexmark MS823DN printers, along with toner, imaging units, and trays. All equipment must be new, and refurbished or used equipment will not be accepted. Delivery will be to a loading dock at the Winchester Warehouse in Springfield, Illinois. The IFB requires an extended warranty process to cover repairs or the cost of a new printer if a printer stops working properly.
The IFB contains instructions for submitting bids, including that Packet 2 shall contain the Offer (Section 2, Part B), and if applicable, Exceptions to Solicitation Contract Terms and Conditions (Section 3, Part C.1). Section 3, Part C.2 (References) is not applicable to this bid. Pricing, set-asides, incumbents, funding requirements and sources, and other salient information are not provided in the document.

Question and Answer Set 1
1. Will all items be ordered at once or is this a roll out?
All items will be ordered at once.
2. Does this bid require inside delivery?
Delivery will be to a loading dock at the Winchester Warehouse in Springfield, IL.
3. Can you please confirm which extended warranty you would like for both the M431 and MS823?
The warranty process should cover repairs of a printer or the cost of a new printer if a printer stops working properly. Historically, ILSOS has created a ticket and sent the printer back and the vendor has either repaired and returned to us or shipped a new one. All cost for this must be covered in the warranty.
4. Per the instructions, “Packet 2 shall contain the Offer (Section 2, Part B). If applicable, the packet shall also contain Exceptions to Solicitation Contract Terms and Conditions (Section 3, Part C.1) and References (Section 3, Part C.2).” I didn't see a Section 3, Part C.2. in Section 3 (pg. 21). Can I assume that is because it’s not applicable to this bid?
Correct, Section 3, Part C.2 is not applicable to this bid.
