About this file

This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) file for a federal janitorial services contract.

The current contractor is US Cleaning Professionals (Contract Number 1240LQ22P0012). The contract covers cleaning services for a two-story facility totaling approximately 7,500 square feet, consisting of 2,000 square feet of hard floor surface and 5,500 square feet of carpeted area. Services include weekly janitorial maintenance and biannual specialized tasks: window washing (approximately 45 windows with 60 glass panels and 55 screens), carpet shampooing, and floor stripping/rewaxing. For floor refinishing, the standard requires one coat of sealer followed by a minimum of three coats of wax. The facility contains an estimated 45 windows requiring interior and exterior washing biannually. The On-Site Quality Contract Manager must be available on-site within one hour after regular working hours, limited to the duration of scheduled janitorial shifts. Background investigations for personnel typically require 4 to 6 weeks or longer to complete, after which performance will transition from weekday shifts to weekend shifts. The number of custodians required is at the vendor's discretion, and the specific cleaning timeframe and hours are referenced in the Performance Work Statement (PWS). Biannual tasks (window washing, carpet shampooing, and floor stripping/rewaxing) should be established as separate Contract Line Items (CLINs) invoiced upon completion rather than incorporated into the monthly fixed price. Site visits are encouraged but not mandatory; interested vendors should contact Kathleen Stanton at kathleen.stanton@usda.gov to schedule a job walk.
