About this file

This is a Questions and Answers document clarifying requirements related to a Performance Work Statement (PWS) for testing and evaluation services.

Question 1 addresses the definition of "repaired" as used in Section 1.3 regarding the Evaluation Report. The answer clarifies that "repaired" refers to a controlled machining and sample conditioning process that transforms dimensionally irregular sample material into a test sample meeting predetermined design specifications, dimensional tolerances, and surface finish requirements. Question 2 addresses deliverable submission requirements for the quote phase, specifically regarding five Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRL 003, CDRL 005, CDRL 007, and CDRL 008) referenced in the PWS Deliverables section starting on page 10. The answer confirms that these documents and sample documents are not required to be submitted with the quote; instead, the government will specify delivery dates for each deliverable in the relevant PWS sections.

Question 1: Regarding section 1.3 Evaluation Report, it is stated “The Contractor shall accomplish Testing, Evaluation, Machining and Sample Prep on each part to be repaired…”.

May I be provided further definition of the term “repaired” in reference to an Evaluation Report that would be generated for this job?

Answer 1: "Repaired," in the context of Section 1.3, Evaluation Report refers to the controlled machining/sample conditioning process of transforming dimensionally irregular sample material into a test sample that precisely adheres to predetermined design specifications, dimensional tolerances, and surface finish requirements.

Question 2: Regarding the “Deliverables” section of the PWS starting on page 10, do these documents and or sample documents (CDRL 003, CDRL 005, CDRL 005, CDRL 007, and CDRL 008) need to be submitted with the quote?

Answer 2: No, you will not need to submit anything with the quote. For each sections of the PWS that have the deliverables, we will give you a time on when the deliverable is required.
