About this file

This is a Questions and Answers document for a Reeve Union Versteel Seating vendor procurement at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh. The project involves the purchase and installation of 900 chairs to match existing seating at Reeve Union. All chairs must be fully assembled upon delivery and installation. Direct shipping from the manufacturer to the site is permitted, provided delivery dates and times are coordinated with the University in advance to ensure adequate staffing and space availability. The University has confirmed that both ground and truck loading bays are available at Reeve Union's loading dock. No alternative chair options are being considered; vendors must match the existing chair specifications. All 900 chairs are to be purchased and installed simultaneously rather than in staggered shipments.

The University indicated that the procurement structure—whether conducted as a single purchase order or multiple purchase orders—depends on cost considerations, with pricing potentially needing to be held by the manufacturer for an extended period if multiple orders are anticipated. The University will provide existing dollies for chair movement, so bidders need not supply this equipment. Specific anticipated delivery timelines were referenced in the bid documents rather than detailed in this Q&A response. No information regarding pricing terms, set-asides, or contract renewal options is addressed in this document.
