About this file
This document contains Industry Day Questions for the Army Family Housing, Phase 1 project scheduled for 12 August 2025. The document reveals key project details, including a design-bid-build approach where the contractor will not be responsible for design, but may have specific responsibilities defined in specifications. The project involves housing construction, with demolition to be performed by other parties using existing Government contracting vehicles prior to the project's commencement. Notable specifications include: no alternative structural systems permitted, no LEED certification required, ATFP requirements only applicable to the Phase 2 Community Center, and building permit approval to be provided by the Government via DOR before construction contract award. The document also indicates the design is current with existing norms and standards, using design studies from 2013 and 2018. A potential additional request for digital design documentation (CAD drawings, BIM models, topographic surveys) is under consideration and potential offerors will be advised of any resulting information during the solicitation release.
