About this file

This document is a Question and Answer (Q&A) Set #1 related to an Invitation for Bid (IFB) issued by the State of California, Department of General Services, Procurement Division (DGS-PD) for Extractors and Dryers to meet the requirements of the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE). The contract resulting from this solicitation will be mandatory for CAL FIRE and available for use by all State of California Departments and participating local agencies, including Alameda County. The IFB covers the product specifications, delivery, installation, inspection, and ordering requirements for the Extractors and Dryers. Awards will be made by individual line item for the North and South areas.

The pricing terms require the contractor to provide installation services at the time of delivery or at a later date agreed upon by the ordering agency, with an option for a trip charge fee if installation is scheduled for a later date. The IFB will replace the original Attachment 1 Pricing Workbook with an Addendum 1 that will include line items for both soft mount and hard mount installations.
