About this file
This is a Question and Answer Set document related to a Request for Quotation (RFQ) issued by the Illinois Secretary of State for the procurement of conservation lab tables for the Illinois State Archives, identified as project 26-350SOS-ARCHI-B-50929. The document addresses delivery and assembly logistics for two conservation lab tables. Key specifications indicate that tables must accommodate the facility's dimensional constraints, including passage through a semi-truck loading dock, a tunnel-to-elevator door measuring 38 inches wide by 79 inches high, an elevator measuring 48 inches wide by 89 inches long by 88 inches high, and a final laboratory door measuring 36 inches wide by 79 inches high. The vendor has previously delivered a 92-inch long tabletop with 1.5-inch thickness that left 6 inches of clearance in the elevator, suggesting that a 96-inch table would fit within the available space, pending verification of the final tabletop thickness prior to ordering.
Assembly of the tables must be completed on-site after delivery, as the elevator dimensions are insufficient to accommodate fully assembled units of the required length. The delivery and installation process requires careful coordination to ensure the tables can be successfully transported through the existing infrastructure and properly configured in the laboratory space.

Conservation Lab Tables Question & Answer Set 1
1. What’re the dimensions of the door through which the table will need to be delivered?
· Semi-truck loading dock for unload
· Door from tunnel to elevator room – 38”W x 79”H
· Elevator door – 38”W x 84”H
· Elevator dimensions – 48”W x 89”L x 88”H
· We put a 92” long tabletop which was 1.5” thick and it left 6in. to spare so I would say a 96” table will fit just fine. If we can verify the thickness of the tabletop before ordering, we will be able to confirm for sure.
· Door from elevator to lab – 36 ½ ”W x 79”H
2. Will the table need to be assembled inside the room, or can we complete assembly prior to delivery?
· The table will need to be assembled after delivery. The elevator this will be delivered though will barely fit a table this long.
