Questions and Answers 36C78625Q50169

Questions from Industry are in Black.

Responses from government are in Blue.

I had one question regarding the solicitation above. Is the Sod placement an entire area? Is it a spot check? Or the whole cemetery.

**Sod placement will be in identified areas. Once area has been prepared for sod installation the contractor will be notified and the amount of sod needed requested.

Throughout the year various areas within the cemetery will be sodded.

I am reviewing the details of the Notice ID QSE--36C78625Q50169 regarding the sod delivery and installation services, and I would like to seek clarification on the exact scope of the installation aspect. Could you please confirm what is included under the term “installation” for the sod? Does it encompass all necessary preparation work such as ground leveling, soil amendments, irrigation setup, and other related services, or is it limited to the physical placement of the sod?

**The scope of the sod installation is the placement of the sod and the rolling process after the sod has been placed. All pre-installation activities will be complete prior to the contractor arriving to install the sod. The term installation refers to the physical action of placing the sod and rolling it after placement.

_________is currently reviewing the solicitation requirements and seeks clarification on CLIN 1/3 regarding the frequency and scope of sod installation orders during the growing season. Specifically, we request further details on the expected installation variables to ensure accurate pricing and resource allocation.

**Sod installation consist of proper laying of the sod and rolling the sod after completion of physical act of laying the sod. All preparation of grounds and application of amendments will be completed prior to sod installation. The frequency of request for sod and the quantity will vary based on the needs of the cemetery. The contractor will be responsible for the physical action of laying the sod and rolling the sod after installation.

To ensure our proposal aligns with the Government’s intent, we respectfully request clarification on the following:

Can the Government provide clarification if delivery & installation found in CLIN 001/003 would be concurrent services? Can the same crew that is delivering the sod install at time of delivery, or will there be separate work calls for (only) installation after the delivery date?

**Yes, the intent is to have the sod delivered early in the morning and installed shortly after delivery to allow time to roll it and begin the watering process.
