About this file
This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) No. 2 for Request for Quote (RFQ) No. 19SP5026Q0001 for Janitorial Services at the U.S. Embassy Warehouse in Madrid, Spain. The Q&A addresses four key questions from potential bidders, including clarifications about an employee on long-term medical leave, employee compensation, site visit requirements, and contractor transition provisions. The document references the "Convenio Colectivo del Sector de Limpieza de Edificios y Locales de la Comunidad de Madrid" (Collective Bargaining Agreement for the Cleaning Sector of Buildings and Premises in the Community of Madrid) as a key reference for employment conditions.
Notably, the Q&A confirms that attending the site visit is not mandatory for submitting a quotation. In the event of a contractor change, the new contractor would be expected to take on the existing employees under the current contract, as outlined in the Right of First Refusal clause in Section 2. The document is dated November 21, 2025, and provides additional context and clarification for potential bidders on the janitorial services contract for the U.S. Embassy warehouse location.
