About this file

This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) file for the Cell 7 Site Fill project issued by Muskegon County, Michigan. The document contains seven questions from potential bidders regarding various aspects of the project, including water source availability, clearing and grubbing procedures, bid bond requirements, project timeline, soil borings, detailed site specifications, and a request for bid date extension. All answers direct respondents to consult Addendum 1 for comprehensive information. The project appears to involve structural fill work at the Muskegon County Landfill, with specific considerations around site preparation, monitoring well removal, snow fence installation, and restoration of disturbed areas.

The Q&A document reveals that the project is constrained to a 65-workday timeline (13 five-day work weeks of 10-hour days), with potential special damages for extended CQA (Construction Quality Assurance) efforts. Contractors are seeking clarification on multiple technical aspects, including haul routes, site clearing responsibilities, well abandonment procedures, fence specifications, and restoration methods. The questions suggest a complex project requiring detailed environmental and engineering considerations, with potential challenges related to project duration, site preparation, and specific infrastructure requirements. The consistent reference to "see addendum 1" indicates that more comprehensive details will be provided in a separate document.

Good afternoon -

Given the fact that this opportunity came through just before the holidays, is there any possibility of getting an extension on the bid due date? Even by one week would be an immense help.
