About this file

This document is Bid Amendment #2 for Bid Solicitation (RFP) #16DPP00020 for Protective Clothing and Footwear issued by the New Jersey Department of the Treasury, Division of Purchase and Property. The bid solicitation is for the State of New Jersey and includes the jurisdictions of Mercer County and Trenton City. The bid amendment revises the due date for proposal submissions from June 9, 2016 to June 16, 2016. It also provides answers to vendor questions regarding adding new manufacturers, using the price schedule, and entering pricing in the NJSTART system. Part 2 of the amendment details the changes made to the price schedule and instructions for the "write-in" lines for brands not listed.

The pricing for this contract will be evaluated per the criteria in Section 6.6 of the RFP. One award per brand will be made in each category on the designated "write-in" lines. Vendors are instructed to enter a unit cost of $1.00 per line item in the NJSTART system, with the actual pricing submitted as an attachment using the state-provided price schedule. Silk screening and sewing of patches/emblems are not part of this RFP, and vendors should not provide pricing for those services.

4.4.7 “Method of Bidding/Price Sheet Instructions”
a.) We currently have two manufacturers on this current contract that are not on your bid list. How do we add them to this bid?

b.) Also, Plastex is no longer in business.

a.) Please refer to Section 4.4.7 “Method of Bidding/Price Sheet Instructions”. The State has provided a “write-in” line for Vendors {Bidders} to provide a brand that is not listed on any price line. There is one (1) “write-in” line for each of the five (5) categories (price lines 00016, 00019, 00021, 00023 and 00033). In addition to providing the brand, the Vendor {Bidder} must fill out the discount, price list date, page numbers of the price list, catalog date and page numbers of the catalog.

Please follow these instructions for each write-in brand offered by copying and completing the price sheet.

b.) The Price Sheet will remain unchanged. This is not an all or none grouping award, therefore bidders do not have to bid on all line items/brands.
