About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document (#2) from the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) related to RFP-25-5004-CAFE for District Five DeLand Cafeteria Services. The document addresses vendor inquiries about operating the cafeteria facility, clarifying that catering licenses are acceptable if active with the State of Florida, pre-ordering is allowed, and special discounts can be offered to increase foot traffic. The cafeteria has a maximum occupancy of 120 people.
The document provides operational details including that there are no plans to install a stove, as state agencies can only replace like items at end of life if they were originally installed. The document clarifies that the referenced 1% consideration in the indemnity agreement is part of the contract language but is not collected by the Department. Information about the MyFloridaMarketplace transaction fee is directed to the Department of Management Services website. Vendors are given flexibility to adjust prices to suit business needs and offer special promotions.
