About this file

This is a Questions and Answers document (#2) from the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) regarding RFP #DOT-RFP-25-5004-CAFE for District Five DeLand Cafeteria Services, dated December 3, 2024. The document clarifies several operational aspects of the cafeteria services contract, including confirmation that catering licenses are acceptable if active with the State of Florida, pre-ordering is permitted, and the cafeteria has a maximum occupancy of 120 people.

The document addresses operational details including the ability to offer special discounts to increase foot traffic, clarification about the 1% operator consideration clause, and equipment specifications noting there are no plans to install a stove since state agencies can only replace like items at end of life. The Q&A also directs vendors to the Department of Management Services website for information about the MyFloridaMarketplace transaction fee. No pricing ranges or specific financial terms are included in this document beyond the clarification that operators can adjust prices to suit their business needs.
