QUESTIONS:
The following are answers to questions asked about the project:
1. Ridgway Valley would like to verify the Substantial Completion date for Project C21RG1/C22RG1 IFB1: 2024*0147, Ridgway State Park Lift Station Replacement is 05/31/25, not 05/31/24.
The tentative Substantial Completion date for this project is 05/31/2025 not 05/31/2024.
2. There is one bid due date showing 3/20 on the solicitation and another showing 3/27 in the Appendix. Can you confirm the due date.
The correct Bid Opening Date is: Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at 1:30 pm.
3. Is there any way to change the submittal to email? We are essentially cutting off two days from the bid time to ensure that they get to Denver in time.
No, only sealed, hard copy bids will be accepted at CPW headquarters in Denver.
4. As there is quite a bit of time between award and NTP … will there be any provision for material cost increases between bid and notice to proceed?
There are no provisions for cost increases between Award and Notice to Proceed, however CPW does allow for payment for materials on hand as stated in the General Conditions:
“PAYMENT FOR MATERIAL ON HAND
(a) Partial payments may be made to the extent of the delivered cost of materials to be incorporated in the work as evidenced by certified invoices, when produced on the project, delivered on the project or stored in acceptable storage places in the State of Colorado in which case the Contractor must furnish evidence to the Project Manager that such materials are stored subject to or under the control of the Division. Payment for such materials will not relieve the Contractor of responsibility for loss or damage of the stored materials.”
5. Is there any additional information on the remote communication and alarm system? There is nothing called out on the drawings and at the pre bid there was talk about just roughing in the infrastructure and CPW would complete this portion. Please confirm.
The remote communication and alarm system is called out in the specifications SECTION
15150 - PACKAGED LIFT STATIONS, paragraph X. AUTOMATIC WIRELESS ALARM
MONITORING and is part of the lift station package and is the responsibility of the manufacturer’s start-up services as stated in paragraph 8., III., B. Manufacturer’s Start-up Services:
