About this file
This document is a PowerPoint presentation for a Question and Answer (Q&A) session regarding a Sources Sought notice for a potential federal contract opportunity with the Military Sealift Command (MSC) for lay berth and ship repair services for T-AKE and ESB class vessels.
The scope of the potential contract includes providing lay berth facilities, industrial assistance, and options for ship repair availabilities on the U.S. East, Gulf, or West Coast. The contract would be a single-award, firm-fixed-price contract, potentially solicited under full and open competition or as a total small business set-aside. The source selection method would be lowest price technically acceptable.
Key details include the draft solicitation information, proposed period of performance, and specific tasks such as providing lay berth, supplementary labor, and industrial assist periods. MSC is requesting industry feedback on potential barriers to competition, place of performance, period of performance, contract line item (CLIN) structure, and the source selection strategy. Responses to the Sources Sought notice are due by August 23, 2024, and a Q&A session is scheduled for August 20, 2024.
