About this file
This document appears to be a Question and Answer (Q&A) related to the Invitation to Bid (ITB) for the Astoria Electric Gate Openers project issued by the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT). The ITB seeks a qualified contractor to install two electric gate openers at the Astoria ODOT District Office located in Clatsop County, Oregon. The Q&A provides clarification on the access control system, the location of the electrical panel and access control panel, and the timeline for substantial completion, which ODOT indicated could be flexible if needed.
The ITB requires the successful contractor to complete the project by July 1, 2024, though ODOT stated they would be willing to extend the substantial completion deadline if necessary. The Q&A also indicates that ODOT typically uses Cook Security for access control systems, but will be using their own controls for this project.

S-73000-00010250 Astoria Electric Gate Openers 5/13/2024 – Quesons and Answers
Q: You are asking for Access Control as well will you be using the Lenel System A: We will be using our own access controls for the openings. We typically use Cook Security for this.
Q: I will need to know the locaon of nearest electrical panel along with the locaon for the Access Control System A: It is in a mechanical room located at the south end of the building; access control panel is down further in the building. (See atached drawing – yellow line is approximate gate locaon.)
Q: You are also asking for substanal compleon by 7/1/2024 ( this may be hard to meet ) it all depends on the true scope of work to be done A: I would have no problem extending the substanal compleon if it is needed.
