About this file

This document is a Question and Answer session related to a Request for Proposal (RFP) for fuel supply from the government entity. The key details are:

The RFP is seeking over-the-road #2 diesel fuel, with the vendor required to provide assistance with the Omnitech and Veeder Root fuel monitor and pumping system within 20 minutes of notification of a system failure. Fuel deliveries are needed on a weekly basis, possibly more often, in approximately 7,500 gallon increments. The RFP specifies delivery hours of 5 AM to 5 PM, and the sites are all accessible to delivery trucks. The government entity is seeking pricing that includes applicable taxes such as federal LUST, oil spill, and Superfund fees, as well as state motor fuel and environmental fees. Orders will be placed manually on an as-needed basis.

Regarding pricing, the government entity has specified that taxes should be included in the bid price, not invoiced separately. The pricing is to be based on the location/terminal where the freight is received, but it is unclear if this will be tied to a specific index like OPIS. The award will be for both gasoline and diesel to the same supplier.
