About this file

This is a Questions & Answers document related to a Request for Quote (RFQ) issued by the Colorado Department of Corrections for fresh eggs, identified as DQ 2027000002. The procurement is for a one-time egg order to be delivered to three warehouse locations—Canon City (CCCW), Limon (LCF), and Sterling (SCF)—during the week of July 13-17, 2026. The total volume requirement is 360 cases of 15-dozen eggs or 180 cases of 30-dozen eggs, with bidders permitted to quote either pack size. Eggs must be delivered separately to each of the three facilities rather than consolidated to a single location. The Department of Corrections typically posts weekly bids for fresh eggs on an ongoing basis.

Bidders are required to submit Exhibits A through F with their proposals; Exhibit G, originally referenced in Section 13.A.iii, has been removed from the bid package. Unit pricing should be specified per case for the selected pack size in Exhibit D. The document does not address specific pricing terms, set-asides, incumbent information, or funding sources, as it serves primarily as a clarification document addressing vendor questions regarding contract scope, documentation requirements, and delivery specifications.

Questions & Answers: DQ 2027000002 Warehouse Fresh Egg Order

1. Re: DQ 2027000002 – Fresh Egg Order The following inquiries are submitted for clarification: 1. Term of the Purchase Order. Section 6 and Exhibit D describe a single delivery for the week of July 13–17, 2026, while Exhibit B and the Exhibit A vendor questions ask whether pricing is firm for a "1-year" duration. Please confirm whether the resulting award is a one-time order for that delivery week or an ongoing 12-month arrangement. 2. Required exhibits. Section 13.A.iii references returning "Exhibit G," but no Exhibit G is included in the DQ package. Please confirm the complete list of exhibits a bidder must complete and return is Exhibits A through F. 3. Pack size. The specifications allow 15- or 30-dozen cases, and Exhibit D notes a 15-dozen equivalent total of 360 cases. May a bidder quote either pack size, and should the Unit Cost be entered per case for the pack size selected? 4. Delivery points. Please confirm whether eggs must be delivered separately to each of the three facilities (CCCW – Cañon City, LCF – Limon, SCF – Sterling), or whether a single consolidated delivery to the Central Warehouse (CCCW) is acceptable. Thank you.

Answer:

Good morning, This is a one-time order for delivery to three warehouse locations during the week of July 13–17, 2026. Please note that the Department of Corrections typically post weekly bids for fresh eggs.

Regarding the required documentation, Exhibit G has been removed. You are only required to return Exhibits A–F.

When submitting your bid, you may quote either pack size (30 dozen or 15 dozen per case), provided the total volume equals either 360 cases (for 15 dozen) or 180 cases (for 30 dozen). Please specify the unit cost for your chosen pack size in Exhibit D. Note that eggs must be delivered separately to each of the three facilities as requested.

Thank you.
