This Performance Work Statement (PWS) is for cast impregnation services for copper/brass manifolds at Letterkenny Army Depot (LEAD) in Chambersburg, PA. The contract involves processing approximately 5 sets of manifolds per month, totaling 60 sets annually, with specific requirements for impregnation according to MIL-STD-276A and MIL-I-17563C standards. The performance period includes one base year and four option years, with the contractor responsible for cleaning, double impregnating, and conducting proof pressure testing on five different types of manifolds.

Key technical requirements include vapor degreasing parts, impregnating using specified military standards, providing first article testing, and returning processed parts within 14 working days. The contractor must perform work at their own facility, comply with security training requirements (AT Level I, iWATCH, and OPSEC), and maintain quality control throughout the process. Letterkenny Army Depot will provide the manifold parts and be responsible for initial cleaning, while the contractor will handle impregnation, testing, and return shipping. Quality assurance will involve 100% inspection by LEAD's Quality Assurance personnel, with strict adherence to military specifications for impregnation of porous nonferrous parts.
